1st November 2009 Windsurfing: Blithfield Wind Direction: W Wind Stength: Gusts to 60mph Surf / Sea State: Lumpy Air Temperature: OK Sea Temperature: OK Weather: OK Max Speed: Distance Covered: Arrived to find sailors wallowing on 3.4 and 3.7. Wind clearly dropping so rigged 5.3 and had 5 minutes of reasonable sailing with a couple of planing exits from my gybes. Then the wind came back so came in and rigged 4.2. Manic session - not much fun because the gusts seemed to arrive from nowhere and very difficult to settle with the lumpy water. Too much wind to gybe, did a few hops off the ramps, but it was survival sailing. No one had a good session. Lets hope for some more consistent winds. |
